With support from an AARP Foundation Grant, MPTF held the first Social Isolation and Loneliness Impact Summit in 2017. Community partners were invited to learn from esteemed leaders in the field about the negative impacts from social isolation. Enthusiasm to continue the conversation was high and the LA Social Isolation Impact Coalition was formed. MPTF followed up by hosting three additional summits inviting a wider range of community partners, researchers and leaders to address the growing crisis.
